Accounts Payable Specialist
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the accurate processing of payment for approved invoices and contract payments; recording, updating and reconciling financial information; and providing instructions and/or accounting support to other personnel in accordance with established practices. Essential responsibilities include: opening, dating and distribution of incoming mail; filing of packing slips, invoices and debit/credit memos; obtaining proper signatures; matching invoices to packing slips; prioritizing invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms; entering of invoices, debit/credit memos and appropriate adjustments; weekly check run; verifying all information on statements; keeping current spreadsheet reports of invoices paid on blanket or service purchase orders; responding to vendor inquiries and assisting in month end closing. The Account Executive will manage complex sales processes, committee sales and selling into integrated health networks. This position requires experience selling medical device capital equipment to hospitals, BS degree, science aptitude and at least 3-5 years of sales experience with documented success. We prefer that candidates reside in the greater Baltimore or Washington area. Overnight travel required, 4-5 nights per month on average. Understanding of hospital Lab Information Systems, Hospital Information Systems and middleware are a plus.

CLINICAL APPLICATIONS SPECIALIST
The primary responsibilities of the Clinical Application Specialists are to perform hospital laboratory test studies for Nova products before the sale and work with new customers after the sale to streamline validation requirements and ensure a successful, smooth transition to Nova technology. You will also prepare and present performance data obtained during onsite studies, and perform onsite customer training for Nova products. Requires the ability to understand and educate hospital laboratory and nursing staff on instrument application issues and the ability to perform data analysis. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years experience in the diagnostics industry or a hospital laboratory. Clinical laboratory bench experience and/or POCT experience is ideal for this position as well as experience with Bedside Glucose Meters and Blood Gas systems. A Med Tech or life science degree or equivalent background is preferred. Requires excellent communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills. This position is based in the Waltham, MA office and requires 50% travel.

Customer Service Representative
The Customer Service Representative processes customer orders and returns, prepares special reports such as customer and government contracts, assuring delivery dates, issues credits when necessary, setting up new customer accounts, and trains new department employees. Specific duties include: processing customer phone, fax, and e-mail orders thru data entry; routing customers to appropriate departments; provide customers with product and pricing information; initiating, updating, and cancelling customer discounts; filing; processing credit cards; entering daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports; fulfill customer request for price quotations and miscellaneous other duties. The qualified candidate must have excellent communication skills, fluency in English, computer literacy, High School education, and at least 1-2 years of related experience.

Customer Support Specialist
The Customer Support Specialist communicates, primarily by telephone, with end users of Nova StatStrip and StatSensor products to solve technical problems and answer questions related to the operation and maintenance of their analyzer. Specific duties include: communicate with end users, Field Service Specialists, Clinical Applications and Field Sales representatives to resolve technical problems and answer questions related to StatStrip and StatSensor products; enter details of each call including steps taken to resolve problems and/or answer questions into the Pivotal Database; generate Return Material Authorizations to replace damaged or defective products and consumables; assist in the training of new Customer Support Specialists and on occasion, take part in special projects for customers or the Technical Support department. Requires: high school diploma with strong emphasis in laboratory sciences, chemistry, biology, or electronics, AS or BS degree preferred; effective communicator with strong analytical skills and strong computer skills. Familiarity with Point-of-Care, clinical laboratory or research laboratory settings a plus. Recent college graduates will be given strong consideration.

INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR: GLUCOSE TRAINING SPECIALIST
Nova Biomedical is looking for independent contractors interested in performing clinical training services at hospitals throughout the United States in support of our expanding StatStrip bedside glucose hospital product line. In this contracted position, successful candidates will be offered opportunities to travel to customer sites and train end users on the StatStrip system as part of a team of onsite trainers. Qualified candidates will become factory certified trainers on the StatStrip system. Upon certification, contracted training specialists will be responsible for training hospital end users on the proper use of the StatStrip system. Additional responsibility includes documenting end user training and certifying that the end user has demonstrated core competencies associated with the use of the StatStrip system. FIELD SUPPORT SPECIALIST – Houston, TX
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to service customers by providing world-class support. Ideally based in the Houston area within 30 minutes of the major airports, the person holding this position will be responsible for installation, training, emergency service and preventive maintenance of new and existing Nova Biomedical instrumentation. The candidate will primarily cover service activity within the states of TX, LA, and MS, but also may be required to travel outside of this territory. This individual will perform work within defined service standards, including, but not limited to, response-time, scheduled maintenance, demand service events, installations, and first-day resolution rates. The successful candidate will also be responsible for properly documenting all service related activities in a timely and professional manner, including inventory, service orders, expense reports, and all other required records. Exceptional organizational skills, customer focus and an absolute commitment to exceeding customer expectations are a must in this position. Also required are a BS in life sciences, medical technology, or equivalent industry experience; 3-6 years technical experience; exposure to the clinical diagnostic environments highly desirable. As a field-based position, this will require overnight travel up to 40-50% of the time.

Jr. Chemical Filling Operator
The Chemical Filling Operator is responsible for the proper filling, sealing and labeling of various reagents. Responsibilities include: monitoring of the fill equipment during operation, loading/unloading product, assuring product is properly sealed, labeled and quarantined as required, daily cleaning and maintenance of fill area and equipment and documentation of complete record of fill. Requires: high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 40 lbs and be able to work alternately in a seated or standing position, basic mechanical aptitude with ability to work with hand tools and gauges and effective verbal and written communication skills including detail orientation and accuracy in documentation. Knowledge of Quality System Regulations and safety standards is desirable. This is a four 10 hour day position, Monday -Thursday, 9:00 am to 7:30 pm.

Packager, Reagents
The Packager, under general supervision, will follow established procedures in packaging reagent kits. This individual is responsible for working on an assembly line to assemble the various kits within the established quality and time standards. The individual will work with various packaging equipment such as: automated/manual tape machines, manual pallet trucks, conveyors, flow racks and other packaging devices. Requirements are high school diploma or equivalent, 1+ years of related experience, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and work alternately in a seated or standing position.

Project Manager, Hospital System Implementations
The Project Manager is responsible for leading the overall implementation of a hospital based network of patient glucose monitors. This involves working with Nova team members, outside middleware vendors and the Customer project team to ensure successful implementations. The Project Manager will develop the initial project schedule; ensure action plans are followed up at the customer site; and create, execute and update project work plans including validation, IT connectivity and training plans. Requires: five or more years of clinical laboratory/diagnostics industry experience (blood gas, chemistry or POC experience preferred) involving direct onsite or telephone interface with end-users at hospital technical and administrative levels; BS in a technical or business discipline; strong demonstrated project management skills including organizational, leadership, attention to detail, customer satisfaction and problem solving skills. Position is based in Waltham, MA and travel is anticipated at 15-20% annually.

PROFESSIONAL SALES SPECIALIST - San Francisco
The Medical Sales Specialist is responsible for outside sales and promotion of blood glucose monitors for diabetics to accounts in a defined, geographical territory. Primary sales focuses are Endocrinologists, Primary Care Physicians, Certified Diabetes Educator/ Nurse Educators, and Pharmacists who influence consumer glucose monitor use. Secondary sales focus will be directed toward local and regional Durable Medical Equipment (DME) companies. Key responsibilities include: conducting daily sales calls to accounts; building key relationships with decision makers; promoting products, services, and sample/literature delivery; and developing a business plan and territory call route. The qualified candidate will have 2+ years’ sales experience in pharmaceutical or device sales to physician offices along with a BA/BS, preferably in Business or Life Science. Demonstrated working knowledge of computer and software applications along with documented sales records is required. Candidates must reside in the greater San Francisco area. Working knowledge of diabetes and diabetes management a plus.

Regional Account Manager, Biotechnology – Southwest Region
Due to Nova’s growth we are currently looking to add a top performing sales representative to sell the full range of Nova’s automated biotechnology instrumentation ($30,000 to $100,000 analyzers). The Account Manager will manage complex sales situations including single departmental sales, multi-departmental sales and often multi-locations sales. Daily activities include, lead generation, product and PowerPoint presentations, instrumentation evaluations, quote generation, forecasting and the reporting of activities. This position requires a BS degree, a strong science aptitude and a minimum of 3 to5 years of documented success in capital instrumentation sales, preferably within the biotechnology industry. The candidate must reside in either the San Diego or San Francisco areas. The Region includes Southern California (including San Francisco East Bay area) Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma and Colorado

Scheduler
The scheduler assigns and schedules all project tasks and activities to support new meter implementations while maintaining and coordinating the Integrated Master Schedule and associated schedules for meter activity. Duties also include: working with management to integrate upcoming installs, evaluations and training into the master schedules; acting as the "go to" person for StatStrip and StatSensor field resource availability and assignments; collaborating daily with Statstrip Project Managers, Application Manager, Connectivity Manager, Regional Support Managers and Team members and performing others tasks as directed by Manager, Field Operations. Requires: minimum of an Associates degree, BS/BA degree preferred with a concentration in life sciences or business; 1-3 years minimal experience in a customer support environment although recent college graduates will be considered; project management skills; strong interpersonal skills; multitasking skills; resource scheduling and solid computer skills including MS Excel.

Shipper
The Shipper is responsible for packing and checking both domestic and international orders. Duties include: pack orders to ensure accuracy and prevent damage; process and verify orders through ship station(s); nightly close-out duties including FedEx manifest reports; processing of debit memos; assist with international shipments and help in other areas as needed. Requires: High school graduate; 1 to 3 years experience in shipping; ability to read and write English; computer skills; forklift experience and ability to lift 50 pounds. Hours for this position are 10:30 am to 7:00 pm Monday through Friday.

SMT Manufacturing Technician
This position supports Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and thru-hole production lines to meet operating requirements. Responsibilities include: Using Computer Aided Design (CAD) generated data, provide final output machine placement program files; assist in creating documentation required for building Printed Circuit Board (PCB) assemblies; perform scheduled calibration/maintenance work order tasks; review equipment accuracy to ensure machine performance and provide Design For Manufacturability (DFM) feedback to Manufacturing Engineers. Requires: previous experience with SMT equipment; an Associates Tech Degree and at least 3 to 5 years equipment programming experience using CAD tools.
